Obituary for Robert Eugene England

Robert Eugene EnglandRobert Eugene England, 93, of Crossville and formerly of Adams, died on Sunday June 10, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Jr. England and Brother Jr. Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow in Adams Cemetery with Buster England, Billy England, Robert England, Paul Cornell, Jack Cornell, Keaton Cornell, Nick Cornell, and Camden Cornell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. England was born July 6, 1924 in Scottsville, KY to the late Geanie Potter and Magnolia King England. He was a retired cheese maker with Kraft Foods and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. England was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved fishing, gardening, and loved to socialize with his family and friends. He was known to never meet a stranger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Robert Henry England.

floral squareMr. England is survived by his wife of 67 years: Mary Helen Ledford England, his sons: David England and Michael (Judy) England both of Crossville, daughters: Mary Kathryn Cornell and Melissa (David) Malecha both of Crossville, sister: Nelline Baldwin of Adairville, KY, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Marion "Buddy" McKinneyMarion Jessie “Buddy” McKinney, 74, of Springfield, died Saturday June 9, 2018 at North Crest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday June 12th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Lynn officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Adam McKinney, Ranel Woody, Michael Neal, Jonathan Cockrell, Jeffery Cockrell, and Andy Ramnes serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. McKinney was born March 21, 1944 in Frankfort, KY to the late Wallace Marion and Inetta Hazlett McKinney. He was a retired service technician with Air Serve and was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Mr. McKinney was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion and the NRA. He enjoyed farming, tractors, and especially spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Charles McKinney.

Obituary for Rita Fay Weaver

Rita Fay WeaverRita Fay Weaver, 64, of Springfield, died Thursday June 7, 2018 at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Monday June 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Harmon and Reverend Frank Evans officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family received friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Weaver was born February 4, 1954 in Erin, TN. She was the office manager for Weaver Roofing Company and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She floral squareenjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, and loved animals. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her father: John Noah Clark. She is survived by her husband: W.R. Weaver of Springfield, son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Sherrie Weaver of Springfield, her mother: Willa Dean Cunningham of Springfield, and by her sister: Gail Arms of Clarksville.

Ricardo “Angelo” Abbit Delgado III, 13, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, at his residence.

Angelo was born on November 30, 2004, in Clarksville, TN to his mother, Carmen Ortiz and his father, Ricardo Delgado II.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Al Hodges, Rev. Rene Llanos, and Pastor Garfield Curlin officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Angelo was a student at Jo Byrns High School.

Timothy Wayne PattAge 50 of White House passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home. He was born January 23, 1968 in Nashville, TN to Casper and Sue Martin Patt.

He worked as an electrician for Hiller Plumbing, Cooling, Heating and Electrical. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, who he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Patt; sister, Barbara Patt. Ronnie HoskinsPaul “Ronnie” Hoskins, age 72, of Pleasant View, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at 1pm at Grace Baptist Church in Springfield with Brother Steve Freeman and Brother Bob Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are The Hardee’s and Douglas’ Breakfast Groups.

Visitation will be held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4-8pm and on Friday at the church from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.

Mr. Hoskins was born April 23, 1946 in Greenbrier to the late Paul J. and Mary Rawls Hoskins. He worked for the City of Springfield at the Water Treatment Plant, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She was born February 14, 1939 in Goodlettsville, TN to Oliver Estell and Effie Alma Long Ray. She worked as a homemaker and attended Northridge Church in White House, TN. She loved cooking, watching game shows and listening to southern gospel music. She had a servant’s heart and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Joe Swift; brother, Willie Ray and sister, Willadean Swift. She is survived by her son, Joe Eric (Lisa) Swift and daughter, Gina Swift (Ken) Lyon, both of Greenbrier, TN; brother, Bradley Ray, Lake Havasu, AZ; sisters, Bonnie Woods and Betty (John) Faulkner, both of Greenbrier, TN and Sara Russell, Hendersonville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Kenny, Courtney, Jade, Colby and Chance; 3 great-grandchildren, Caden, Kaylee and Caroline.

Her survivors include her sons, Matthew Shannon and Alexander Whitman; mother, Cindy Read, and brother, Eric Read, all of Pleasant View; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Obituary for Gordon L. Tate

Gordon L. Tate, age 79, passed away June 5, 2018. He was born October 4, 1938 in Cross Plains, TN. He was the son of the late Conley and Wavy Tate. Preceded in death by his brother Mickey.

He is survived by his wife Jean Groves Tate of 42 years, his high school sweetheart who he married on June 8, 1976. Along with Jean he gained his 2 daughters, Deena Read and Debbie Read-Fuimaono. He also gained a son in law Sioeli Fuimaono in 2002. He is also survived by 2 nephews, Brian(Beverly) and Steve(Beverly) Tate of Cross Plains and a grandnephew Brandon. His newest member of the family was his granddog Foxy Read.

He was a graduate of East Robertson High School and a member of the Cross Plains United Methodist Church. He was the owner of Tate Automotive, a family business established in 1926 by his father Conley Tate known as Tate Chevrolet. He closed the dealership in 1988 when his brother Mickey retired and then added lawn and garden parts and service to the auto repair shop.

He was an Air Force Veteran who was stationed in the Philippines in 1961. While there, he was one of 9 selected to be the first in to Vietnam – he entered on a passport as a visitor in April 1962 but was secretly establishing and setting up radar sites prior to the Vietnam War.

floral squareGordon was still working full time up until his passing as he always wanted to be there for his customers.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 noon till funeral service at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will be in Cross Plains Cemetery.

The family received friends 2pm to 6 pm on Sunday, June 10th and 12pm to 3pm on Monday, June 11th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The funeral service was held at 3pm on Monday, June 11th at the funeral home with Bro. Steve Wilson officiating. Burial followed in Mayes Cemetery.

She was born June 12, 1931 in Springfield, TN to the late Eddie and Esther Raymer Wilson. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Loretta McMurtry and Linda Graves.

She was a housewife and a member of White Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She loved farming, cooking and helping others.

He was born in Nashville on December 29, 1941 to the late Robert C. and Viola Myatt Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert C. Mitchell, Howard Mitchell, sisters, Norma Mitchell and Nina Faye Northcut.

He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and retired from Tennessee Pride Sausage. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, cows, pigs and about anything outdoors. He loved spending time with his sons.

Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville with Jordan Watts, Michael Watts, Brad Crowe, Dustyn Brewer, James Perras, and John Layne serving as pallbearers.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 8th, from 4:00-8:00PM and again on Saturday beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:30PM.

Jennifer was a kind, sweet, and gentle lady. She was born on August 31, 1973, the daughter of Wayne and Judy Mitchell Dunnum. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Clarksville Surgery Center, and had previously worked at St. Thomas, Vanderbilt University Medical Center,Centennial Medical Center, and the Gateway Cath Lab. She was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Taylor.
