Obituary for William Dale Cornes
William Dale Cornes, 47, of Cross Plains, TN, passed away on June 14, 2018 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
William was born in La Grange, IL to Willis and Verneita (Gayle) Smith Cornes on March 14, 1971. He graduated in 1989 from Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, MO. Sergeant William Dale Cornes entered the United State Army in 1990, was honorably discharged in 1997 and a Persian Gulf War Veteran. William was the owner of Plan B Express Trucking in Cross Plains, TN.
William is preceded in death by his grandparents Horace Smith, Virgina O’Daniel Roberts, Elmer Cornes and Katherine Pike Legate; uncle William Smith, aunts Cathy Kidd and Wilma Hart and four cousins
William is survived by his soul mate wife Melissa Angeles, his parents, Willis and Verneita Gayle Cornes, six children; Dannielle Matthews(Ben), Logan Cornes (Kaylyn) , Addison Stanage (Kris) Kimberly Cornes, Krista Angeles and Joshua Angeles and his four siblings; Charles (Michele), Angelia (Isaac), James Brian, Chad (Karen), eight grandchildren and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Betty’s Florist in Scottsville, KY (270) 237-9295 will be taking direct orders for the family for gifts of condolences /flowers.
Memorial Service will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday June 30, 2018 at Kilgore Park Veterans Memorial Garden and Pavilion in Cross Plains, TN with Reverend Mark Dowlen officiating. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the Memorial Service. In the event of rain, the Memorial Service and the Celebration of life will be held at the Cherry Mound Masonic Lodge in Cottontown TN
Obituary for Anna Sue Bosley Bennett
Anna Sue Bosley Bennett, age 100, of Springfield, TN and formerly of Owensboro, KY, died Friday June 15, 2018 at Northcrest Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Friday June 22, 2018 from 2-4 pm at Springfield First United Methodist Church. There will be a memorial service officiated by the Rev. Kaury Edwards on Monday June 25, 2018 at 3 pm at the Wesleyan Heights UMC in Owensboro, KY. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm until the hour of service at 3 at the Wesleyan Heights UMC.
Mrs. Bennett was born September 29, 1917 in Daviess Co., KY to the late James Weaver and Pauline Bennett Bosley. Her brothers, Franklin, Jim, Sam and George Harold Bosley and her sisters, Mary Ellen Stinson, Alice Murphy, Joyce Hawes and Martha Jo Foster also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold M. and Ann Bennett of Elizabethtown, KY; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Richard Lutz, M.D. of Discovery Bay CA, Brenda and Gary Oldham of Springfield; sisters, Louise Thrift of Palos Verdes CA, Mildred Ward of Owensboro; grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Lutz (Dr. Mark Elliott), Jennifer Renner (John), Elizabeth Ann Bondia, Anna Laura Bennett (Sean Dummitt), John Robert Bennett, Kary Holland (Ed), Kathy Madvig (Kurt) and thirteen great grandchildren.
Anna Sue lived a full life of service to others. She was a charter member of Wesleyan Heights UMC where she was a member of the Vanguard class. At age 70, she served on a mission trip to Costa Rica. She was a social worker for the City of Owensboro, a member of the Pilot Club and a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, an excellent seamstress and blue ribbon winning quilter. Anna Sue would like to be remembered using her expression, “She Lived and She Lives”.

Obituary for Claude Lee Watson
Age 79 of Springfield passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home. He was born March 27, 1939 in Shelbyville, TN to Johnny Dunn and Theresia Chockley Watson, Sr. He worked as a fabrication supervisor for McDonnell Douglas and was of the Methodist faith. He had a mind of his own and did everything “his way”. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Afterward, he and his wife spent 30 years living in California so that he could pursue his dream of building airplanes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Dunn Watson, Sr. and Theresia Chockley Chewning; infant son, Joel Nathan Watson; brothers, Johnny Dunn Watson and Charles Phillip Watson, Sr; sister, Mary Lou Watson Comstock; step-father, Edgar George Chewning, Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 56-1/2 years, Martha Burr Watson; son, Robert Scott (Teresa) Watson, both of Springfield, TN; grandchildren, Cheyanne Marie Watson and Jesse James Watson; great-grandchildren, Skylar Watson and Chase Watson; sisters, Inda Watson Adams, Madison, TN and Theresia Louise Watson Brown, Crossville, TN; half-brother, Edgar George Chewning, Jr. TN.
Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Clint Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville National Cemetery at 1pm with family and friends serving as pallbearers and with military honors. Visitation is planned for Thursday, June 28, 2018 4-8pm and Friday, June 29, 2018 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Age 66 of White House passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at his home. He was born July 27, 1951 in Washington, MO to Willie and Helen Green Duncan. He worked in internal security for the State of Tennessee.

Obituary for Don Hall
Donald Graves Hall, age 92, of Cedar Hill, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Dr. Jerry Oakley officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until the hour of service at 11am.
Mr. Hall was born February 25, 1926 in Robertson County to the late Willie Brodie and Edna Graves Hall. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII and was a member of the Navy Seabees. Mr. Hall was a retired salesman for Armour Star Meats, was a Past Master Mason and member of Springfield Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and was a deacon.
In addition to his parents Mr. Hall is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Jones Hall. He is survived by his son, Jerry (Ann) Hall of Mt. Juliet; daughters, Donna (John) Callaway of Huntsville, AL and Darlyne (Don) Kent of Whites Creek; sister, Catherine (Al) Agee Buchfinck of Detroit, MI; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Peggy Almeda Trobaugh, age 85, went home to be with our Lord on June 24, 2018. She was born in Joliet, IL on June 7, 1933.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Trobaugh; parents, William H. Tompkins, Sr. and Belva M. Purviance; step-father, Franklin Boyer and brother, William H Tompkins, Jr. She is survived by her 3 children, Kim K. Juillerat (Victor) of White House, TN; Kathy L. Neher (Duane) of Lawrenceburg, IN and Kent R. Trobaugh of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She married in 1953 and lived most of her life in North Webster, IN. In 2013 she moved to White House, TN to be in the care of family. She attended the Hendersonville First Baptist Church. She loved her God, her family and her country. She had a life very well lived.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, July 2nd at the Hendersonville First Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until her Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating.

Phillip Lance Felts, age 68, of Joelton, Tennessee, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Alive Hospice- Skyline Madison Campus.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock pm, Saturday, June 23rd, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Gerald Prior officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Felts was born on September 3, 1949 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Ham and Marie Harris Felts. He was a “jack-of-all-trades” and was a very skilled and talented man. He is described as being a “teacher of life” and touched many hearts.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Felts; and brother-in-law, Doug Johnson.
Survivors include his daughter, Elisabeth (Michael) Huff; sons, Levi Felts (Julie Gamble), and Mikell Casady; sister, Judy Johnson; grandchildren Austin, Eli, Savannah (Justin), Isaiah; and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Willow.
