Obituary for Ricky Lee Whiting
Ricky Lee Whiting, Sr., 68, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Alive Hospice Skyline Madison Campus. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, December 1st at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Larry Flatt officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Whiting was born October 19, 1950 in Robertson County to the late Forrest Wayne and Vera Appleton Whiting. He was a retired service technician from BellSouth/AT&T and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Whiting graduated from Springfield High School in 1969. He greatest love was fishing. He also enjoyed gardening, and listening to WDBL/WSGI radio, especially Swap & Shop and Daddy-O on the Patio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Wayne Whiting.
Mr. Whiting is survived by his wife: Lynn Vardell Whiting, his son: Ricky Lee Whiting, Jr., of Nashville, his daughters: Amber Lyn Whiting of White House, Misty Whiting Hayes of Nashville, his brother: Tony Whiting of Springfield, his sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and Jimmy Webb of Springfield, and by his grandchildren: Solene Whiting, Lukas Atkins, Ava Hutchison, Brent Hunter.

Obituary for Roy Mac Covington
Roy Mac Covington, 59, of Greenbrier, passed away on Saturday November 24, 2018 at Whitehaven Assisted Living in Adams. Memorial services were conducted Wednesday November 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Brother Thom T. Rawls officiating. The family received friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Mr. Covington was born October 2, 1959. He had worked as a machinist, was a member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church and was a Master Mason with the Greenbrier Masonic Lodge. Mr. Covington was loved and loved playing the guitar and banjo. His favorite hobbies were knife making, and spending time with his family, especially when they were all playing music together.
Mr. Covington was preceded in death by his father: Roy Gaither Covington and by his daughter: Abigail Lorraine Covington. He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Teresa Skinner Covington of Greenbrier, his sons and daughters-in-law: Roy Travis and Amanda Covington of Greenbrier, Jackson Pleas and Kaitlin Covington of Springfield, his mother: Lattie Sue Reeder Covington of Greenbrier, his brothers: Mark Covington of Greenbrier, Cory Covington and wife Amanda of Greenbrier, and by his granddaughter: Layla Belle Covington of Greenbrier

Obituary for Clarence Ray Farmer
Clarence Ray (Ray Ray) Farmer was born on August 17, 1970 to the late Mary Ruth Smith Farmer and Archie Farmer. Ray was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a crippling disease, at a young age. In spite of the obstacles with his health, he lived a fun and joyous life. Ray loved outings and road trips with his family and friends. Ray attended South Haven Baptist Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Randy Mullenix. Ray loved the Lord and looked forward to attending church every Sunday.
Ray loved all sports and became a die-hard fan of the Tennessee Titans. Ray attended many of the Titans games, and had a great relationship with some of the 
players and had a pass to the Titans tunnel.
Left to cherish his memory his brother, Archie Lee Farmer Jr. and his brother William Thomas Farmer. Nieces: ArShaunda Farmer, Aiesha Farmer, and Asiannah Hyde. Nephews: William Lee Ray Farmer and Joseph Farmer. Also left to cherish his memory is a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A special cousin Lillie Taylor.

Obituary for Donna Leavell
Donna Burney Leavell, age 63, of Cedar Hill, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 3, 2018 at 4pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral in Springfield with Brother Gene Brown officiating.
Ms. Leavell was born October 12, 1955 in Springfield, Tennessee to Mr. Donald Ray Burney and the late Mrs. Sue Joyce Burney. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Leavell is preceded in death by her sister, Marie Burney and her grandchildren, Kasey Ann Crawford and Brandon Lee Crawford.
In addition to her father, Ms. Leavell is survived by her daughter, Brandy (Samuel) Crawford of Cedar Hill; and granddaughter, Angel Rae Crawford.

Allison Loper Dye, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 28.
Allison was a beautiful, artistic, sassy, fearless woman and a great mother. She was the owner of 2 Dye 4 Grafix.
She is survived by her parents Noel and Barbara Loper; daughter, Sydney Noelle Hobbs; stepson, Jason Dye; stepdaughter, Jessica Rupe (Josh); and sisters, Michelle Freudenthal (Bob), and Jennifer Hunnicutt (Joey).
Visitation with the family will be held Monday, December 3rd, from 11am until 1pm at Austin & Bell Hendersonville. The Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00pm with Pastor Joel Wilkie and Reverend Bill Overstreet officiating with burial to follow in Beech Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Bob, Jonathan, and Bobby Freudenthal; Jason Dye; Pat Campbell; Bobby Dixon; Terry Minton; Cody Hunnicutt; and as honorary pallbearers are the members of the Supper Club, Brendon Puckett and Joey Hunnicutt.

Obituary for Melinda Kae Mayton
Age 57 of Hendersonville passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 26, 2018 at her home. She was born August 17, 1961 in Owensboro, KY
She worked as a homemaker. She loved shopping for treasures at consignment and garage sales, listening to Garth Brooks music and was a wonderful cook. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a sweet smile and a contagious laugh that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Nannie, Hendersonville, TN; daughter, Jera (Joey) Gregory, White House, TN; grandchildren, Arah Gregory and Ethan Gregory, both of White House, TN; brother, Tony (Kay) Wsrd, KY.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House. Visitation is planned from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to help with funeral expenses.

Connie Marie Arms Reason, age 64, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4pm until the hour of service at 7pm.
Mrs. Reason was born November 9, 1954 in Adams to the late Felix A. and Reba Stuard Arms. She was a homemaker and member of Red River Baptist Church. She was kind and loving and always had a smile waiting for anyone who needed one. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Reason is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Michelle Reason and her sister, Anneta Douglas.
Mrs. Reason is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jerry L. Reason, Sr.; sons, Jerry Lee Reason, William Alvin Ray (Tracey) Reason and Jeffrey Wayne (Theresa) Reason, all of Springfield; brothers, Ed (Sandy) Arms of San Diego, CA, Wayne Arms of North Hollywood, CA, Randy (Betty) Arms of Springfield and Felix (Terry) Arms of Springfield; sisters, Donna (Frank) MonFette of Cedar Hill, Dianne Eads of Springfield, Helen Rouse of Cedar Hill and Tina (Jimmy Jones) Evitts of Adairville, KY; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Obituary for Matthew Alexander “Al” DeVasher
Matthew Alexander “Al” DeVasher, age 60 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018.
Al was a devout Christian and loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He graduated as Valedictorian of the Hendersonville High School class of 1975, a 1979 graduate of University of Tennessee, and he received an MBA from Belmont University. He was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church and the Men’s Fraternity. He loved working with children and tutoring at Walton Ferry Elementary. He was an avid sports fan of University of Tennessee, the Chicago Bears, and the Atlanta Braves. Al had a razor-sharp wit and intellect, and he loved to have fun. He loved trips to the beach with his family, the Varsity in Atlanta, classic rock music, animals, and vintage television shows: Perry Mason, Rockford Files, and Andy Griffith.
He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lucretia Maynard and sister-in-law, Angie Huddleston. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Charlotte DeVasher; children, Noah and Carley DeVasher; parents, Billy and Dot DeVasher; father-in-law, Dow Huddleston; stepfather-in-law, Harold Maynard; half brother-in-law, Chris Huddleston; sisters, Terry Darnell (Randy) and Jan Kolb (Jeff); Ryan Darnell (Amy) and his children Sterling and Declan; Alexandria Melton (Brian) and her children Ella Jane and Brock; nieces Maddie and Allie Kolb; and nephew, Samuel Fountain (Alison) and his children Jazlyn and Hadley.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, December 1st, from 10am until 1pm at the chapel at Long Hollow Baptist Church Hendersonville. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 1pm.

Rodgers, Frances Mae, age 68 of White House, Tennessee died on Thursday, November 23, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 26, 1950 in Tuscola, Illinois to the late Franklin Charles and Lillian Maxine Bowman Cummings. She was owner/operator of Frannie’s Alley Salon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Randy Lee Rodgers; brothers, Franklin, Patrick, and Michael Cummings; sisters, Barbara Fleenor and Georgianna Kegley.
Frances is survived by her husband of 41 years, Randall Rodgers of White House, Tennessee; sons, Jimmy Rodgers of White House and Jason Rodgers of Champaign, Illinois; daughter, Tina Rodgers of California; sisters, Marilyn Atkinson of Sherryville, Indiana, Mary Lockwood and husband Bob of Chino Hills, California, Margaret Simons and husband Virgil of Humboldt, Tennessee, Helen Durham and husband Eddie of Montana; six grandchildren.
Committal service and burial of the ashes will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1pm in Middle Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery Columbarium.

Obituary for Charles Edward Mayes
Charles “Charlie” Edward Mayes, age 70 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at his residence.
The family received friends 12pm to 2pm on Sunday, November 25th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The funeral service followed at 2pm with Rev. Gary Dillard officiating. Burial followed in the Mayes Cemetery.
Charlie was born in Springfield, TN on April 18, 1948 to the late Jack C. and Margie E. Arnold Mayes. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Dorothy “DJ” Penley Mayes; sister Linda Moore and brother, Melbiurn T. Mayes.
He was a truck driver for 34 years and owned and operated Custom Bike Shop Old Hickory Custom Cycles. He serviced and built custom bikes, sometimes with the help of his late wife.
He is survived by sons, Eddie Ray Mayes, Alton (Holly) Arnold Mayes and sister, Lavone Worsham.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
