Obituary for Robert Wayne Cassidy

Robert Wayne Cassidy, age 64 of Springfield, TN died Saturday October 5, 2019 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at the Bridge of Hope Church, 525 E. Trinity Lane, Nashville, TN and then again at 2 pm on Wednesday October 9, 2019 in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Francisco Amaya and Pastor Ramon Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow the service on Wednesday in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bryan Cassidy, Shawn Crittenden, Uziel Bernal, Felipe Amaya, Ismar Amaya and Jacob Crittenden serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Springfield on Wednesday beginning at 12 noon until the hour of service at 2 pm.

Mr. Cassidy was born November 4, 1954 in Warren Co, KY to the late Dan Beckham Cassady and Beulah Lee Coleman Cassady. He was the director of housekeeping at Richland Place in Nashville and the former director of housekeeping at North Crest Health. He loved his family and staying busy. He loved to make others laugh and carried a bright energy to those he was around. In reality he just loved life. Mr. Cassidy enjoyed sports cars and attending car shows.

Obituary for Richard Asa Hendrix

Richard Asa Hendrix, age 61 of Springfield, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at NorthCrest Medical Center.

His remains are to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Mr. Hendrix was born February 16, 1958 in Toledo, OH to the late Harry and Jeanne Wolfe Hendrix. He loved sports, especially Detroit Tigers baseball, Michigan State Spartans, and Detroit Red Wings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Hendrix.

Richard is survived by his wife, Adrienne Getz Hendrix of Springfield; daughters, Jennifer Davison Bowers and husband, Eric of Portland and Janet Morris Dempsey and husband, John of White House; brother, Harry Hendrix and wife, Connie of South Haven, MI; sisters, floral squareBonnie Hendrix Fox and husband, Bob of Atlanta, GA, Donna Dausman of Saranac, MI, Ruth Ann Blake and husband, Carlos of Temperance, MI, and Mary Wiley and husband, Dan of Mt. Olive, MI; grandchildren, Jack Harrison Dempsey and Isabelle Marie Dempsey; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Obituary for Frank Robert Flamm

Frank Robert Flamm, 75, of Cross Plains, passed away on Monday September 30, 2019 at North Crest Medical Center.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday October 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Deacon Mike Morris officiating. Interment followed in White House Memorial Gardens with Cory Hooper, Clint Ford, Kyle Harp, Chase Smith, Channing Smith, Joey Flamm, Cody Flamm, Bobby Flamm, Derrick Pulley, and Jesse Ayers serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mr. Flamm was born June 5, 1944 in Allegheny, PA. He was a retired farmer for Goosetree Farms, and he loved watching Penn State and the Pittsburg Steelers play football. He was preceded in death by his mother: Catherine Flamino Flamm and by floral squarehis son: Brad Flamm. Mr. Flamm is survived by his wife: Betty Pulley Flamm of Cross Plains, by his sons: David Redfern of Cross Plains, Timmy Flamm of Millersville, and Toby Randolf of Temple, TX, by his daughters: Tressa (Jeff) Smith of Russellville, KY, Angela (Greg Belcher) Harp of Dickson, by his brother: Joey Flamm of Pittsburg, PA, by his sister: Donna Clemente of Pittsburg, PA, by sixteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Obituary for Antwon DeLawrence Taylor

DECEMBER 6, 1960 ~ SEPTEMBER 26, 2019 (AGE 58)

Born and raised in Springfield, TN where he attended school in the Robertson County School system. He was a handyman and enjoyed outside work. He shared his fun, outgoing personality with everyone and never met a stranger. He loved his family and was always bringing lots of laughter. Antwon was known for his incredible athletic ability, playing baseball, but was sensational in basketball. He was a member of Beards Chapel Church Reverend Randy Taylor pastor.

He leaves to cherish his memories wife Sheronda Taylor, his children Verrico Taylor, Patrick Chatman, and Antwon V. Head, Step sons Oktavian Moss and Isiah Moss, sister in laws Lillie Taylor and Vera Taylor. He leaves behind his best friend Darrell Woodard, a special niece Sheika Taylor, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and others in the community that loved him. He will be remembered by all floral squarethe neighborhood children, because he was always kidding around with them. In addition, he was very caring and would offer words of wisdom to them.

Antwon joins in heaven his mother Gladys Watkins Taylor, father James Ellis Turner, all of his brothers and sisters Mary Etta Taylor, John Taylor, Billie Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, and Christine Taylor.

Shannon Rose Lang Daniel, age 66 of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, October 05, 2019 at her residence.

There are no services planned. She will be inurned in Mississippi Veterans Cemetery, Newton, MS.

She was born in Meridian, MS on July 2, 1953 to the late Huey Lang and Fannie “Rose” Pullin Lang. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clyde Daniel.

She was a Medical Clerk in the Medical Field.

Jeffrey “Jeff” Curtis Hester, age 37 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Friday, October 4th, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Wednesday, October 9th, at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Mallory’s Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Jeff was born on April 14th, 1982 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Teresa Hester and the late Billy Curtis Hester. He was employed as a painter with CPI in Nashville.

Mrs. Jarrell was born July 30, 1930 in Friendship, TN to the late Presley Francis and Daisy Pitt Smith. She worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

Marvin Lee Bennett, age 83 of Hendersonville, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2019. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was all about his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Rosa Bennett; brothers, Richard Bennett, Charles Bennett and Robert Bennett; son in law, Donald Colvin. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanette Bennett; daughters, Connie Colvin, Pam (Buddie) Toon and Lisa Hankins; son, Randall Bennett; sister, Linda (Joe) Witherspoon and brother, Wayne (Connie) Bennett. 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren also survive.

Julia Katherine Fyke Eaton, age 103, of Springfield, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at her home.

A Home Going Celebration was held Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 1pm at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Joe Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.

Mrs. Eaton was born March 26, 1916 in Springfield to the late Harley E. and Minnie Murphy Fyke. She worked as a bookkeeper and was a member of the Mt. Denson Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Eaton is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Eaton, her brother, Paul Fyke, sister, Margaret Fyke and her nephew Larry Fyke.

Minnie Rice Overton of Hendersonville, Tennessee went to be with her Lord on September 28, 2019 at age 95.

She is predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Vance Overton; her parents, Patrick and Nellie Rice; her brother, Harold Rice; sisters, Ellen Kemp and Pauline Gammon. She is survived by her two brothers, William Rice (Carol) of Hendersonville, DeWitt Rice of Dickson; plus several nieces and nephews.

Minnie was a member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Miller Medical Group.

Celebration of Life Service was conducted by Brother Johnny Carver at Austin & Bell Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 2 at 2:30 pm. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at 1:30 pm. Private interment service to follow.

Obituary for Robert Dean Schaak

Robert Dean Schaak “Bob”, of Billings, Montana, was called home on September 28, 2019 at the age of 85.

Bob was born on December 1, 1933 in Hardin, Montana to his parents Adolph and Lula Schaak. Bob grew up on a farm caring for animals and crops which instilled a passion he carried with him throughout life. Bob attended Seventh Day Adventist Academy, where another passion developed; flying. Bob followed that passion into the Marines where he received an Honorable discharge in 1956. Bob never let go of his passions and built a farm in Billings, MT, where he could fly his planes, dusting his crops. Bob lived by the quote “The Sky is the Limit” and passed his love for nature down to his children and grandchildren. In 1962, Bob married the love of his life, Mary Ann. They kept adventures alive by traveling the US in their RV, creating memories with their children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Schaak; his three children, Kristine Schaak, Tami (Jim) Kelly, Danny Schaak; his two step children, Tom (Candy) Lanter, Elaine Lanter; his brother, William Schaak; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
