Obituary for Kenneth Wayne Gober
Kenneth Wayne Gober, age 81 of Springfield, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. William Thomas Booker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Kyle Stewart, Xylon West, Waylon West, Barry Gober, Brent Simon, and Gary Davis serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 until 8 PM and Sunday from 11 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Gober was born July 21, 1937 in Davidson to the late Coy Whitlow and Elsie Pauline Haskins Gober. He gave his life to Christ and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was the owner of Ken’s Refrigeration. He loved old cars and working on his property, raising a garden, and bush hogging. He was a dedicated family man who loved his wife and all his family and enjoyed going for rides through the countryside. He was reared in a family of 15. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years who died in February of this year, Bessie Margaret Robinson Gober; a grandson, Michael Wayne Greer; and 6 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Brian Reed of Lebanon and Debra and Jerry Worrell of White House; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Betty Gober of Westmoreland and Jerry and Stephanie Gober of Hartsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Lila Caudill, Pam High, Shelia Simon, and Theresa and Jerry Hobdy, all of Portland; grandchildren, Brandy (Waylon West and Kyle Stewart; and 11 great grandchildren.

Obituary for Jerome Petty Ellis
Jerome Petty Ellis, 77, went to be with his Lord on Monday September 24, 2018 following a brief illness. Mr. Ellis was a lifelong resident of Springfield until moving to Goodlettsville in May of this year. He was born September 1, 1941 in Robertson County to the late E. Bates and Mary Lou Petty Ellis. He was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1959. He obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Jerome was a dedicated educator with the Robertson County Board of Education for 37 years. He began teaching in 1963 and taught in the classroom until 1966. From 1966 until 1970 he served as Principal at Springfield Jr. High School and from 1970 to 1977 he served as Principal at Westside Elementary School. Jerome was then appointed as Superintendent of Schools in Robertson County and served in that title until the title was changed in 1997 to Director of Schools from which he retired in 2000. He was a member of Barren Plains Baptist Church, where he served as the Chairman of the Deacons. Jerome was a former City Commissioner with the City of Springfield from which he stepped down when he was appointed as School Superintendent. Following his retirement, he was elected as a City Alderman for Ward 3 in Springfield in 2002. He was re-elected to that position in both 2006 and 2010 and had a total of 12 years of service after he did not seek re-election in 2014. His favorite hobby that he enjoyed most was raising Black Angus cattle.
In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his son: Jeffrey Read Ellis in 2012. In December of this year he would celebrate 55 years of marriage with his wife, Linda Allen Ellis, who survives him. Jerome is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Dena Ellis of Goodlettsville, his granddaughters: Brandi (Steven) Phillips of White House, and Stefanie (Chris) Means of Goodlettsville, his great grandchildren: Brayden, Liam, and Reese, his sister: Alice (Russ) Pae of Houston, TX, his brother: Allan (Debby) Ellis of Springfield, and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday September 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with his son: Tim Ellis and Reverend Adam Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tim Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Means, Steven Phillips, Keith Petty, David Petty, Tim Head, Royce Yarbrough, Sam Andavazo, and Clyde Dean. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Robertson County Funeral Home

Obituary for Helen C Hale
Age 98 of Cross Plains, TN passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at White House Health Care & Rehab.
She was born August 20, 1920 in Cross Plains, TN to Herbert Ford & Viola Warren Covington. She worked as an office clerk for Genesco before her retirement. She was a member of Cross Plains United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John William Hale; brothers, John, Clayton, Bill and Junior; sister, Elizabeth.
She is survived by her sons, Jim (Judy) Hale, Orlinda, TN and Gary (Sheila) Hale, Brentwood, TN; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment are scheduled for Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 11am in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Bro. Bob Filson officiating. Visitation is planned for Wednesday, September 26, 2018 4-8pm at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House.

Obituary for Helen Fletcher Wynn
Helen Fletcher Wynn , age 92, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Mrs. Wynn was born in Robertson County, TN on March 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Fred D. and Maude Brown Fletcher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wynn was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lewis Wynn.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Randy) Stamps; grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Varnado, Emma Stamps, and Will Stamps; great-grandchild, Gray Varnado; and sister, Jean Lawson.
Mrs. Wynn was a member of the St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She served the congregation as an elder and Sunday School secretary. Mrs. Wynn also served as president for the Nashville Presbytery CPWM, treasurer of the Tennessee Synod CPWM, and as a member of various committees at the denominational level of the church. Her favorite role within the denomination was serving as a Trustee for 9 years at the Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home.
Mrs. Wynn was a member of the Davidson County FCE club for 50 years, serving as an officer at the local, regional, and state levels. She served on the U.T. Agricultural Extension Advisory Council and also on the Metro-Davidson County Agricultural Committee. Mrs. Wynn taught millinery several years for Metro-Davidson County Adult Education. She was also a member of the Lakeview Garden Club.
Mrs. Wynn was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was an avid basketball fan and especially loved the TN Lady Vols. Mrs. Wynn enjoyed sewing, crafting, and creating jewelry.
Visitation will be held at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday at 11 am with Dr. Dwayne Tyus officiating and active pallbearers, Will Stamps, Nick Varnado, Frederick Lawson, Larry Cline, Robert McBride, Glenn Law, Terry Harris, Pat Patterson and as Honorary Pallbearers; The Fellowship/Fidelity Sunday School Class. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Springfield, TN.

Obituary for Loenna Jane McFarland-Jones
Loenna Jane McFarland-Jones, age 87, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. McFarland-Jones’ funeral service is planned for a later date at Wappner Funeral Home in Mansfield, Ohio. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Mansfield Memorial Park in Mansfield, Ohio.
Local visitation will be held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Wednesday, September 26 from 3:00-7:00pm.
Mrs. McFarland-Jones was born April 21, 1931 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Roy Lester and Donna Frances Stafford Fidler. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1949, retired from GMAC where she worked as a credit representative, was a coordinator for the Sugar Plum Ball, was on the Board of Directors for the Senior Citizens and also on the Entertainment and House Committee at the Springfield Country Club.
In addition to her parents Mrs. McFarland-Jones is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Henry McFarland and second husband, Arthur “Sonny” Jones, Jr. Mrs. McFarland-Jones is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dennis) Pittenger of Napa, California; brother, Bud (Nancy) Fidler of Mansfield, Ohio; grandchild, Allie Elizabeth Pittenger; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis (John) McCarrick and Aileen McFarland, both of Mansfield, Ohio; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

Obituary for David Wade Foley
Age 56 of Greenbrier passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1962 in Louisville, KY to F.W. & Helen Marie Garner Foley. He worked as a customer support specialist and trainer for Neotek North America. He was an avid golfer, loved cars, espcially European cars, spy movies and watching the History channel. He loved spending time with his family most of all. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Foley; son, Austin Wade Foley, both of Greenbrier, TN; daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Foley, Brentwood, TN; brother, Wayne (Katie) Foley, Crestwood, KY; sisters, Kathy Foley and Carol Foley, both of Louisville, KY.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Tim Colovos officiating. Interment followed in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held Monday, September 24, 2018 3-8PM and Tuesday, September 25, 2018 11am-2pm at the funeral home.

Obituary for Lynda Teasley
Lynda Dunn Teasley, age 87, of the Sandy Springs/Gause Community, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home from Alzheimer’s Disease.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Cara King, Ryan King, Seth King and Joe Dew officiating. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery with Bryson Dew, Joe Dew, Jimmy Dunn, Donny King, Ryan King, Seth King and Will Teasley serving as pallbearers. Mr. Paul Bracey was an Honorary Pallbearer.
Visitation was held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1-5pm and again on Monday from 10am until the hour of service at 11am.
Mrs. Teasley was born July 20, 1931 in Lyles, TN to the late James and Charlie Hayes Dunn. She was a Springfield High School Class of 1949 graduate and began working at First National Bank in Springfield as a bookkeeper while still in high school. After graduation she continued to work at the bank, which is now U.S. Bank, for 32 years. At the time of her retirement from U.S. Bank, she was the Auditor and Assistant Vice-President. After her banking career, she was active in the Robertson County Farm Bureau Women, where she served as their treasurer. She volunteered with the NorthCrest Auxiliary for 17 years. Mrs. Teasley was a longtime member of Coopertown Church of Christ where she helped with youth Bible Classes for many years.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Teasley is preceded in death by her sisters, Lorelle Groves, Frankie Murphy, Margie Vaughn and Joanne Wright.
Mrs. Teasley is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joe Teasley; children, Dr. Myra (Joe) Teasley-Dew of Raleigh, NC, and Andy (Jenni) Teasley and Cara (Donny) Teasley King, both of Pleasant View; grandchildren, Seth (Jenna) King, Ryan (Maite) King, Bethany King, Will (Kaeli Jo) Teasley, Lauren Teasley and Bryson Dew; great-grandchildren, Evie King, Georgia King, Silas King and Joe Teasley; and brother, Jimmy Dunn.

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Julie Ann Craddock, age 31 of Hendersonville, TN.
Julie was a beloved daughter, sister and mother. She is survived by her parents Missy and Bo Rogers; children Emily Craddock, Joshua and Hayden Lowery, and Bruce Pass; siblings Brandi Hayes, and Joey, Shaun, and Shane Rogers; niece Bella Porter, nephew Adrienne Porter; and grandparents Nancy and Bryan Austing, and Linda and Bobby Wilson.

Obituary for Leonard C. Horn
Leonard C. Horn, age 83 of Ridgetop, TN passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his residence.
The family received friends 4pm to 8pm, Sept. 21, 2018 and 12pm to 2pm, Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The funeral service were held at 2pm, Saturday at the funeral home with Elder Frankie Kirby officiating. Burial followed in Springhill Cemetery on Dividing Ridge Road in Goodlettsville.
Leonard was born February 5, 1935 in Nashville, TN to the late James Albert and Cora Hutton Horn. He was also preceded in death by brothers, James Horn, Wallace Horn, Thomas Horn, Walter Horn; sisters, Polly Stinson, Mary Parmer and grandson, Justin Grona.
He was employed in the Maintenance Department at Centennial Medical Center and was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Alene C. Horn; children, Melissa Grona, Angie (David) Robertson, Randy (Debra) Clendening, Cindy Clendening; sister, Betty Wright; sister-in-law, Willie Horn; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
