UPDATE 12:30PM

According to officials with the Robertson County school District, the lockdown on both schools has been lifted. No further information was available. “After our investigation into a suspicious person at Jo Byrns Elementary, there was no credible threat found”.

ADAMS/CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Jo Byrns Elementary and Jo Byrns High School were both placed on a precautionary lockdown around 11 AM after a student reported seeing a suspicious looking individual approach a door at the Elementary school.

According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the student approached the school’s Resource Officer about the sighting and the decision was made to put the school on a precautionary lockdown until the situation could be assessed.

Due to its proximity, Jo Byrns High School was also placed on a precautionary lockdown. Robertson County Detectives and Patrol Officers are on the scene searching the area and looking at surveillance video. So far, no one has been identified.

As soon as we have an update from the Sheriff and the lockdown is lifted we will bring it to you.
