KY Police Pursuit Ends In Adams, One Suspect In Custody

ADAMS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A police pursuit that started in Kentucky ended abruptly in Robertson County Friday night with one suspect in custody and another on the run.

The vehicle pursuit started in Kentucky near the Tennessee border. At some point, the vehicle entered Robertson County and onto Hoopers Hollow Rd in Adams Tennessee where the vehicle crashed around 9:30 pm.  MAP  After the crash the occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.

According to Deputy Saunders with the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Thomas Wayne Gates, 24, of Todd County, was the alleged driver. He has not been located.

With the help of the THP’s air unit and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Tara Beth Stewart, 23, of Elkton KY (believed to be a passenger of the vehicle) was located and taken into custody Friday night. Stewart has been charged with Resisting Arrest. Her bond was set at $3,500.00.

According to Deputy Saunders,  Gates likely fled back to Todd County. The search for Gates in Robertson County ended around 5 am Saturday morning.

Gates is described as a white male, 6’2, brown, light beard, about 190 to 200 lbs, medium to stocky build.
