Man Airlifted After Rollover ATV Crash Overnight

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A local man was airlifted with serious injuries following an ATV rollover crash near Cedar Hill overnight.

The crash occurred on Carr Rd just before midnight Monday. MAP

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Robertson County Sheriff’s office are jointly investigating the incident.

The crash occurred in a series of sharp curves in the road that may have contributed to the crash.

The gentleman was airlifted to Skyline Medical Center with serious injuries. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County EMS and the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the crash.

UPDATE:

The name of the driver has been released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. He is identified as Dustin S. Jackson, 31, of Nashville.

According to the THP, Jackson was traveling South on Carr Road when he encountered a curve to the right near Turnersville Rd. The vehicle swerved in an attempt to stay on the roadway causing the ATV to flip over onto its side. Jackson was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled over on its left side. Both Jackson and the vehicle landed in the roadway.

Mr. Jackson has been charged with DUI 3rd. The investigator added that Jackson was not wearing safety restraints.
