Men Posing As Bail-Bondsman Shoot One, Injure Another In Home Invasion In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Tuesday evening around 11:45 pm, Officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a home on Batts Blvd in reference to shots fired.

During their investigation,  police found that two individuals posing as Bail Bondsmen forced their way into the residence, tied everyone in the residence up with zip ties and attempted to rob the homeowners.

During the incident, a female inside the residence was shot one time in the arm. Another victim inside the residence was struck several times with a weapon.

Both victims were treated and released from Northcrest Hospital.

Officers arrested 34-year-old William Troup for Especially Aggravated Burglary and Criminal Attempt to Commit First Degree Murder. A second suspect is still at large but police have not released a description.
