Officials Respond To 2 Rollover Crashes Saturday Morning

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating two separate rollover crashes that occurred Saturday morning.

The first rollover occurred around 3am on Hwy 76 near Oakland Rd. MAP A pickup truck left the roadway and collided with a tree trapping the female driver inside. The impact nearly tore off the top of the truck. Hwy 76 was closed for about two hours while first responders freed the trapped driver and removed the vehicle. According to Robertson County EMS, the driver was transported via Lifeflight in serious condition. Due to the location of the crash, Lifeflight landed at Springfield High School.

Robertson County EMS, the Emergency Management Agency, the Greenbrier Fire Department, the Springfield Fire Department and the Tennessee Highway Patrol all responded to the call.

The second rollover occurred just after 10 am on Owens Chapel Rd near Woodrow Willson Rd. MAP According to Robertson County EMS, the 18-year-old male driver sustained only minor injuries and was not transported.

Robertson County EMS, the Cross Plains Fire Department and the Tennessee Highway Patrol all responded to the call.

The cause of both accidents is under investigation by the THP.
