Parking For July 3rd Fireworks At Travis Price Park In Springfield

What You Need To Know

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – There will be NEW parking guidelines this year for the 4th of July fireworks show and preceding church event at Travis Price Park which will be held this evening, Sunday July 3rd.

Whether you are planning on attending the church festival preceding the fireworks show tonight in Springfield or you’re planning on just attending the fireworks show itself, you will want to take note of changes in available parking at or near the park.

Grace Baptist Church has rented the park today but are hosting a free (open to the public) event from 4 to 9p.m. with inflatables, food vendors and a performance by the Grammy winning christian band “For King & Country” at 7:30p.m.

Springfield Parks & Recreation will be presenting the fireworks show at 9:00p.m.

If your plan is to bring the family to watch the fireworks show only, you will need to consider a few changes that have been made to parking at or near the park.

IMG_1295There will be No-Parking along Blackwood Drive or in front of Travis Price Park this year. You can still park inside the park for a $10 dollar parking fee but since the church is expecting 10,000 people you will need to show up early. There is also paid parking around the corner near 5th Ave. See parking maps below.

If you have a limited budget, Free parking will be available at the Robertson County Fairgrounds on Memorial Blvd. which is roughly 1.3 miles from the park. Church officials told Smokey Barn News that some shuttle service’s will be available to-and-from the park for a donation fee. See parking maps below.

Officials are also not allowing through traffic between Memorial Blvd and 5th Ave. (Hwy 49) on Blackwood Drive. They are turning people around at the gate. You will have to use Memorial Blvd to 5th Ave. or vice versa. MAP

When planning, bring money for parking and food vendors if you plan on attending the church event preceding the fireworks show.
