Police Seek Three Suspects After Home Invasion In Millersville

MILLERSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Tuesday evening around 9:00 p.m. Millersville Police received a report of a possible home invasion on Walnut Ct in Millersville.

The victim told police that he arrived home and was in his garage when he was approached by three black male subjects.  Two of the suspects were wearing bandannas over their faces and pointed what looked like guns at him although it was dark.

The suspects entered the garage and asked the victim for his money.  The victim pulled out a money clip and said “I don’t have any money, I have credit cards, you can have them,” police said.   After that the victim heard one of the suspects say “Check his vehicle.”

The suspects went through the victims vehicle and took an iPad, an iPhone 6, a duffle bag, sunglasses and a few other small items. The duffle bag contained clothes and shoes.

The victim did the right thing, police said,  by giving the suspects whatever they asked for.

The suspects then told the victim to give them his watch, the victim complied.  The watch was a gold/silver Rado wrist watch valued at $1600.

According to police, the suspects then asked who was upstairs, the victim replied, “My wife and my dog.”  The suspects then ran out towards the front of his house and fled the scene.

The victim didn’t see the suspects vehicles or headlights or their direction of travel. Police estimate the total net value of what the suspects took to be approximately $3800 worth of merchandise.

The victim told police that he thought someone may have been following him home. At some point in his journey home, a dark colored SUV started following him and did so all the way to exit 98 coming into Millersville and continued to for several other streets but when he turned on his street to go home the vehicle continued straight.

Police say the victim was not able to provide a vehicle description, model or tag number.

According to Millersville Police Chief David Hindman, the area around Walnut Ct is an upscale neighborhood, “This kind of a call is unusual for that area,” Hindmsn said.

What should you do if you think you are being followed? Smokey asked Detective Dustin Carr with the Millersville Police Dept., Carr said “If you think you are being followed, don’t go home, call the police and explain the situation or go to the closest police station.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Millersville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division by calling (615) 859-2758.
