Popular RC Schools Bus Driver “Mr. David” Dies, He Was 56

GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Students, Parents, as well as the Greenbrier community is mourning the loss of a popular Robertson County School’s bus driver David Cain who died on Saturday, he was 56.

“Mr. Cain was one of our most dependable bus drivers and his presence will be deeply missed by all that knew him. We extend our condolences to his entire family as they mourn his loss.” Robertson County Schools

“Mr. Cain spent more than two years driving for our department and was one of those employees who came to work every day without complaint. He had a perfect attendance record and consistently did whatever he was asked to do. His passing is a huge loss to our transportation family.” Josh Hinerman, Supervisor of Transportation

David was born March 29, 1962 in Atlanta, GA. David played college football for Liberty University and was an avid sports fan with a particular love for the Braves, Falcons, NASCAR and the Atlanta United Soccer Team.

David enjoyed traveling with his family, monitoring the weather, and spending time with his friends. He had a variety of jobs which included being an on-premise beer manager, owning his own construction company, and driving a school bus for Robertson County Board of Education. David had a passion for meeting new people and building bonds with them. He loved his family and always made his son’s events, sports and hobbies his top priority.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the family’s home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The staff at Smokey Barn News will be keeping David’s family in our thoughts and prayers as they face the days ahead.
