Port-A-Potty Fire In Springfield Labeled Suspicious

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – In other news, a portable toilet mysteriously burst into flames late Wednesday/early Thursday in Springfield.

Fire investigators are calling it “An act of vandalism” but-  for some technical reason, stopped short of using the term arson.

The portable toilet was located on Cheatham St at 11th Ave. MAP

It was truly the end for the portable restroom that, if not for Springfield Firefighters, may have ignited an adjacent home that is undergoing a remodel.

The fire started around 12:15 am Thursday morning. Springfield Firefighters arrived quickly and extinguished the flames.

The exact cause of the fire is still unknown and the perpetrator(s) are still at large. If you have any information that can help authorities get to the bottom of why the portable toilet ignited, you are encouraged to call police.

The portable toilet was a total loss.
