Robertson County Road Conditions & Accidents
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A winter storm that was supposed to slip by Robertson County came directly through, leaving in its wake slick roads and very cold temperatures.
The slick roads made driving difficult and several minor crashes were reported. A student at Springfield Middle School was bumped by a sliding vehicle, fortunately the student was not injured.
Later in the morning a Robertson County School bus was rear ended by a sliding vehicle in the 100 block of Church St. in Cross Plains. Though two students were reported to have minor injuries no students were transported, according to officials.
According to Emergency Management Agency Director R.L. Douglas, all the main roads are clear but the back roads are very slick and the frigid temperatures will likely cause the roads to stay that way for a few days.

WEATHER FORECAST:
Periods of light snow expected across northern portions of middle Tennessee today. Light snow will move across areas along and north of interstate 40 this morning and continue through the early afternoon hours. At this time, it appears that snowfall accumulation amounts will range from a dusting to one inch in these areas.
Additional light snow will be possible this evening and overnight across the far northeastern counties of middle Tennessee along the plateau. Widespread travel problems are not expected, however some roads, especially secondary roads, could become slippery and hazardous.
Exercise caution while driving on area roadways through Saturday morning as temperatures will continue to remain below freezing. Stay tuned for further updates and advisories, should they become necessary.
Temperatures will warm up beginning Monday with temperatures in the mid 50’s for most of next week.
