Robertson County Schools Will Remain Closed Thursday March 6

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Robertson County Schools will remain closed Thursday March 6. Many of the back roads are still too icy to safely transport children according to the Director of Schools Mike Davis. Smokey spoke with the Emergency Management Director R.L. Douglas yesterday and he predicted schools would remain closed.  The roads just need more time to thaw out.

Davis also said, because we are out snow days Thursday will have to be made up at some point and the calendar will have to be amended. We don’t want to be closed but we have to, it’s just too risky out there.

*ACT Testing for juniors that was rescheduled for Thursday will be rescheduled again with a new date to be announced later.

Photos below were taken by the Director of Schools Mike Davis during his tour of Robertson County roads. Davis told Smokey that during his tour of the county back roads he became stuck in the snow and had to put his vehicle into 4-wheel-drive in order to get  free.
