Springfield Businesswoman Indicted On Embezzlement Charges

SPRINGFELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn news) – Following an investigation in Davidson County, local businesswoman, Tracy Beno McPherson, of Springfield, owner of Barnfly Farms, was arrested last week following an indictment that alleges that she embezzled funds from a previous employer.

The Davidson County Grand Jury indictment, which was handed up to the court last week, alleges that McPherson embezzled funds from CEC Electrical Contractors Inc. on two separate occasions.

The two count indictment alleges that between January 2014 and November 2015 McPherson  embezzled over $250,000, the exact amount was not disclosed. The indictment also alleges that between January 2011 to December 2013 McPherson embezzled $60,000 or more but less that $250,000.

According to on-line business listings for CEC Electrical, McPherson once held the title of Sales & Marketing Director, and Office Manager.

McPherson was transported to the Davidson County Detention facility in Nashville. McPherson’s bond was set at $100,000.

According to their website, C.E.C. Electrical Contractors, Inc. was founded in 1983, and provides electrical service for commercial and industrial buildings. They list an address of 2640 Locust St. in Nashville, TN.
