SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Wednesday evening Megan Pires allegedly walked into the Dollar General store located across from Springfield High School, brandished a gun, and demanded money. (see video below) Now, according to Springfield Police, Pires is in custody and has confessed in a jailhouse interview with WKRN’s Andy Cordan.

In the interview, Pires told Cordan that drug addiction and fear drove her to allegedly commit the robberies.

Pires was arrested (yesterday) in Cheatham County. We are waiting on further details of her arrest. Pires is facing (3) Aggravated Robbery charges and is wanted by Springfield Police Department and Robertson County Sheriff’s Department.

She will be extradited back to Robertson County and will be interviewed by detectives.
