Suspect Identified in Christopher Nash Murder
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Police name Carricus Bell-Harris, also known as “Reesy” Harris as the key suspect in the shooting death of Christopher Nash age 20. The murder took place back in August 2011 on S. Main st. in Springfield. Christopher Nash was a a well-known football player and graduate of Greenbrier High School.
Bell-Harris was a known gang member that lived in Nashville, but spent a lot of time in Springfield, according to Police. Bell-Harris died on June 27, 2013 from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police. His body was found on Grace St. in Springfield.
Numerous tips and leads were followed up to determine who was responsible for the crime.
Thousands of hours of law enforcement resources were dedicated to identifying his killer according to Springfield Police Chief David Thompson.
The murder case remains open and active due to the actions of other people in the case who may have participated in or contributed to the incident leading to the murder.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam announced in August of 2013 a $10,000 reward from the state for information on the death of Christopher Nash in August 2011 in Springfield.
Anyone having additional information on the crime is encouraged to call Detective Morris at (615) 708-7317, or call CrimeStoppers at 615 382-3799 where they may receive a cash reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of additional suspects in this crime. Additional reward money is also available through other sources.

Regardless of his shady dealings, he still didn’t deserve to die. A scheme to lower who he truly was, A guy who had everything going for him and those who didn’t like him were glad it ended. It’s sad when people of “very low self-esteem (mental health issues)” do all they can to bring down people who work hard for the things they possess with honesty.
One small accomplishment, but still waiting for justice to be served to the one who brought him out there that night. Money can’t protect you forever.
