THP Seeks Leads In Possible I24 Road Rage Death
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s assistance to help locate vehicles and drivers of interest (Motorcyclists) that may have been involved in an incident that possibly contributed to a fatal Robertson County crash on March 23, 2019.
The crash occurred on I-24 at mile marker 24 near the Hwy 49 exit. MAP Two vehicles were traveling eastbound side-by-side when two unknown motorcyclists approached one of the vehicles and began to harass the driver.
The vehicle, a 2008 Chevy Bolt driven by Stacy L. Gayheart, 33 of Clarksville, then crossed into the left lane of travel and collided with the second vehicle, a 2019 Jeep Cherokee driven by Raven S. Ransom, 26 Springfield MO. Gayheart attempted to regain control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway where it struck a tree. Stacy Gayheart died from her injuries two days after the crash. The motorcyclists continued East on the interstate. A passenger with Gayheart, Miranda D. Gayheart, 24, of Clarksville, survived the crash but was injured.
After the Jeep and the Chevy collided, the Jeep came to rest on the left side of I -24 facing east.

Coincidentally, Ransom turned out to be a Fugitive from Justice. She is currently in the Robertson County Jail. Ransom has been charged with Driving While Suspended, Fugitive from Justice, Simple possession Sch. VI, Drug Paraphernalia, and not wearing a Seatbelt.
