Three Women Robbed On I65 In Robertson County

CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Three women were robbed at gunpoint on I65 after they pulled over on the Interstate to secure a load of furniture, according to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.

The robbery occurred near Cross Plains between mile marker 108 and 112 around 10 pm Wednesday evening, officials said.

The victims were hauling furniture from Madison when they entered Robertson County and pulled over to secure the load in the back of their truck. Two of the women were helping the third woman who was moving to a new residence in Portland.

The victims told detectives that, after they pulled over, a dark vehicle pulled up behind them and two men got out and asked if they needed help. The victims told the men “no” and that is when the victims say the two men pulled out a gun and robbed them of personal items including a cell phone and a purse.

With their cell phones stolen, the women drove to the next exit (112) and called 911 from Sad Sam’s. MAP

Detectives only have a vague description of the suspects and vehicle- two black males in a dark vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the investigation, if more information becomes available we will bring it to you.

There were no reports of injury during the alleged robbery.
