TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Robertson County Holiday Traffic Report

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Holiday travelers and Christmas shoppers are taking a toll on our roadways but if you plan ahead you can avoid a big headache.

At the moment we have two wrecks on I-65 slowing traffic on both sides of the interstate and causing gridlock in the Southbound lanes. The congestion on I-65 is causing traffic delays on HWY 31w. Moments ago, at 4:10 pm, another (multi-vehicle) crash was called in on I-24. Needless to say, we have many people passing through Robertson County on their way to family gatherings while shoppers are making their way to stores.

A good portion of our roads are in reasonable shape, you just have to plan ahead a little. It should be as simple as avoiding the main roads and interstates if possible. If you have to use the interstates be sure to use your smartphone’s map to look for ways to bypass congestion.
