Two Bicyclists Injured In Two Alleged Hit-&-Run Crashes
Labor-Day Weekend
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Two bicyclists were injured in two separate hit-and-run crashes in Robertson County Labor-Day weekend.
Both riders were able to escape without life threatening injuries but according to officials, the identity of the two alleged drivers was still unknown. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating both accidents, as soon as they are prepared to 
release more information we will bring it to you. Coincidentally both accidents occurred in the Adams area. Proximity map.
The first accident occurred Sunday and involved a 59 year old female riding on Glen Raven Rd near Carr Rd. The call came into 911 at 2:43pm. The rider was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville in stable condition at the time of transport but had potentially serious injuries, according to Robertson County EMS.
The second crash occurred Monday and involved a 42 year old male rider at the intersection of Mint Spring Rd and Rockey Rd. The call came into 911 at 5:50pm. The rider was transported to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville with minor injuries, officials said.
It’s important to remember that, in Tennessee, according to the Department Of Transportation, bicyclists have the same rights to use the road as any vehicle. Bicyclists are also smaller and therefore harder for motorists to see. Motorcyclists have the same issue on the road, sometimes even experienced riders can miss a motorcyclist.
