Two Women Facing Att. Murder For Allegedly Shooting At R.C. Deputy
ADAMS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Two women are facing attempted murder charges for allegedly shooting at a Robertson County Deputy Saturday night.
Dainesse Bussell, 28, of Louisville Kentucky and Maverrina Stanford, 25, of Clarksville Tennessee are both facing Attempted Murder charges after allegedly shooting at a Robertson County Deputy through the door of a home in Adams Tennessee.
The incident began with a 911 call about a burglary in progress just after midnight Saturday night. According to Robertson County Sheriff’s Office PIO Ryan Martin, when the Deputy arrived at the home, located off Hwy 41 North in Adams, and approached the door, shots were fired at the Deputy from inside the home.
According to Martin, the Sheriff’s Office immediately deployed their negotiations and SWAT teams. Robertson County EMS and the Adams Fire Department were also deployed but were staged down the street from the home at Jo Byrns High School on Hwy 41 North. MAP
By the time the incident was over, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office had the two women in custody and none of the residents of the home nor any of the Deputy’s were injured.
The two women have been charged with Criminal Attempt to commit 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault and Theft charges. Their bonds have been set at $302, 500 each.
The entire incident took several hours while Deputies followed standard procedures to make sure that there was no further threat inside the house, Martin said.
According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is still ongoing.
