Vacant Home Destroyed By Fire Under Investigation

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A home near Springfield is a total loss after a massive fire ripped through the structure Friday night.

The home is located in the 3000 block of Burr Rd just outside Springfield city limits. MAP The first call came into 911 at 5:44 pm.

According to officials at the scene, the unoccupied manufactured home did not have active utilities. That fact has triggered a more thorough investigation into the cause of the fire which is still unknown at this time.

When firefighters arrived the home was fully involved. Firefighters from White House Community Volunteer Fire, Pleasant View Volunteer Fire, Greenbrier Fire and Ridgetop Fire quickly extinguished the flames.

The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency and Robertson County EMS also assisted firefighters at the scene.

As officials with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office make more information available to Smokey Barn News as far as a cause of the fire we will bring it to you.
