CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Monday two shots were fired at East Robertson High School baseball field in Cross Plains. Students were ushered indoors while police investigated and parents were notified via a phone call.
Cross Plains Interim Police Chief James Yates is calling it an accident. The incident occurred around 1:00 PM Monday afternoon. Based on the trajectory of the rounds it was probably an accident, Yates said. The shooter may not even know the rounds landed at the on school property.
Chief Yates is asking that the person responsible come forward.
