Area Tobacco Barn Lost To Fire Sunday
PLEASANT VIEW TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Pleasant View area tobacco barn was lost to fire Sunday, several agencies responded.
The barn is located on Old Clarksville Pike near Pleasant View. MAP
Several agencies responded to the fire, including; the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, Ashland City Fire, Cheatham County EMS, and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department.
A cause of the fire was not immediately understood. No injuries were reported.
For farmers, smoke firing tobacco carries risks to both structures and product. It’s something every tobacco farmer will face in the firing season.
