“ALL CANDIDATE MEET AND GREET”
FOR ROBERTSON COUNTY
Free to the Public and “All Candidates” Running for Robertson County Offices
Hosted by Mrs. Tennessee 2013 Marlena Bohanon
Kerry Roberts’ Senate Re-election Campaign announces details for the Robertson County “All Candidate Meet and Greet” being held Sunday, April 27, 2014, from 3-5 pm at the National Guard Armory located on Highway 76 across from Springfield High School.
The non-partisan event will be hosted by Mrs. Tennessee 2013 Marlena Bohanon. The event is free to the public for the purpose of allowing voters to meet the candidates. All candidates running in Robertson County are invited to participate at no cost.
Three $100 Door Prizes will be given away.
“Senator Kerry Roberts wanted to create an opportunity for each candidate on the ballot to meet the public in a non-partisan setting. This gives voters a one-on-one opportunity to put a face with a name and ask questions,” said Jennifer Hamblin, spokesperson for Roberts’ campaign. “To our knowledge, no candidate has hosted a meet and greet for other candidates, but Senator Roberts is intent on unifying people for the good of Robertson County.”
In general, candidates will be located through-out each venue to meet the public. The emphasis is on one-on-one conversations between candidates and voters. Rather than speeches, the candidates will be called up to the red carpet and introduced by Mrs. Bohanon. The drawing for the door prizes will conclude the event.
“The response to our first Meet and Greet at the Coal Miner’s Daughter Museum in Humphreys County was phenomenal. The candidates enjoyed visiting with voters and being introduced on the red carpet with Mrs. Bohanon,” said Kerry Roberts. “We look forward to a successful event in Robertson.”
All candidates on each county’s ballot were sent invitation letters to this weeks event.
Remaining county events are:
Dickson County – Tennsco Community Center – Monday, April 21, 6-8PM
Cheatham County – Sycamore Hills Girl Scout Camp – Tuesday, April 22, 6-8PM
Hickman County – East Hickman Community Center in Lyles – Tuesday, April 29, 6-8PM
