Cedar Hill Home Unlivable After Late Night Fire

CEDAR HILL TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Cedar Hill home is still standing thanks to local firefighters after a fire ignited the structure just before midnight Wednesday.

The home (carrying a Cedar Hill address) is located in the 2600 block of Heads Church Rd near the bottom of the county. LOCATION OF FIRE

One female and two pets (a dog and a cat) inside the home made it out safely. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but so far firefighters don’t believe the fire is suspicious.

According to Shift Commander Seth Parks with the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, preliminarily, the fire started on the outside of the home and moved into the attic. From there the fire made its way down into one bedroom, a utility room, and a bathroom but about 80% of the home is still intact, Parks said.

According to Chance Holmes with the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, the resident was put in contact with the American Red Cross.

The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Robertson County EMS, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the call.
