Cross-County Pursuit Ends in Foot Chase, Arrest & Drug Charges

WHITE HOUSE/GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A cross-county pursuit ended in White House, Tennessee, with a dramatic foot chase and a suspect in custody. The incident began in Greenbrier when Officer Johnathan Lassiter with the Greenbrier Police Department observed a vehicle speeding and driving recklessly. The suspect, later identified as 23-year-old Logan Justice, evaded Greenbrier police before heading north, police said.  Justice somehow made his way across the county and onto I-65 North. Taking the Hwy 76 exit, Justice would then make the decision to head into White House where White House Police eyeballs quickly spotted his vehicle.

White House Police Sergeant Brandon Waller intercepted Justice’s vehicle near the 108 exit. According to police, despite attempting to flee, Justice drove onto a curb near a Kroger store, flattening all four tires. He then abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. Following a brief foot chase, Sergeant Waller apprehended Justice in a ditch behind Kroger, where two baggies containing cocaine and fentanyl were discovered near him.

Justice faces multiple charges, including misdemeanor and felony evading in a vehicle and on foot as well as possession of narcotics from White House authorities, along with felony evading, reckless driving, and speeding charges from Greenbrier. He is currently in custody—total Bond Amount: $18,000.

Thanks to swift collaboration between agencies, the entire incident, including the foot pursuit, was over in less than 20 minutes.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
