CVS/Right Aid Robberies (Suspect In Custody)
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Around 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning a man walked into the CVS Pharmacy located at 903 Memorial Blvd in Springfield (Map) and displayed a note that said that he wanted Oxycontin and he had a gun.
According to Springfield Police Detective Madison Burnett, the suspect had a getaway driver waiting across the street. The vehicle is described as a red pickup truck
that may have a broken windshield.
By the end of the day Sunday police had already identified a suspect. “Thanks to tips from the community, a suspect has been identified.” Mark David Harris, 40, from Cheatham County will be charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Aggravated Robbery for the robbery attempt at the CVS in Springfield, according to Springfield Police Detective Madison Burnett. Harris is in the Cheatham County Jail being held on $200,000.00 bond.
Police allege that after attempting to rob the CVS in Springfield, Harris left the CVS and robbed a Rite Aid in Ashland City. Police say the suspects were successful acquiring Oxycontin in Ashland City but not Springfield.
There is no word on whether the get-away driver has been identified.
