Driver Reappears At Friday Night Rollover Crash In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Officials say no one was injured in an unusual rollover crash near Travis Price Park in Springfield Friday evening but when first responders arrived the vehicle was empty.
The crash occurred on Blackwood Rd which is the access road to Travis Price Park, the first call coming into 911 at 6:41 pm.
Smokey Barn News arrived within minutes of the 911 call and saw first responders searching the field near the crash presumably searching for an injured person from the crash. As we walked up to the crash site a man jogged up behind us so we asked him if it was someone he knew. His reply was, “I’m the driver.” Smokey Barn News is fast but we can honestly say we never beat the occupants of a crash to the scene.
In all seriousness, the gentleman fortunately seemed uninjured and was intact enough to jog up the road to the crash. How police determined that he was the actual driver is unclear.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the driver was not taken into custody while our cameras were at the scene. Should any new details emerge, we will bring it to you.
