Elderly Woman Dies In Accidental Shooting Near Ridgetop
RIDGETOP TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, one person has died in what officials are calling an accidental shooting near Ridgetop, Tennessee Thursday morning.
The call came in at 8:37 am, Thursday that someone had been accidentally shot leaving a back and side wound. The incident occurred at a home located in the 2000 block of Lake Rd. MAP The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
“The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting death on Lake Rd in Ridgetop, TN. A preliminary investigation does indicate the shooting is accidental.” Jessica Drake PIO | Robertson County Sheriff’s Office
The Sheriff’s Office added that, at the moment, charges are not anticipated.
According to Robertson County EMS, the victim, a 63-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“As with any death of this nature, the decedent will be transported to the Center for Forensic Medicine in Nashville where an autopsy will be performed.” Robertson County EMS
