Hours after moving most of their belongings into the home they just rented located at 1737 Port Royal Road, in Adams, TN Charlie Green, his wife and two children (ages 5 and 3) from Adairville Ky stepped out for a bit. When they returned around 11:30PM Monday evening the home was engulfed in flames. Everything they had just moved in was lost. The Red Cross was contacted but as we understand it the family went back to the property they were moving out of. If we can find out what their needs might be and a collection point we will get that to you. It was very foggy as you can see from the photos below which made moving the big firetrucks around somewhat challenging.
The home was set back off the road about 800 feet and the driveway was so narrow they had to back up the firetrucks to the street. Adams big water truck was too low to handle the driveway so they used it as a refilling station backing the firetrucks in and out to get more water. The home was a manufactured home and was classified by Adams Fire Chief Ray Brown as a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
