The Farmers Bank in White House on HWY 76 was the target of an ATM burglary early Wednesday. By the looks of it they were going for the entire ATM machine. We were told that a customer coming in to use the ATM surprised the thieves who fled the scene.
The forklift the thieves used to try and steal the ATM machine was left running when the thieves fled.
Police believe they have located the origin of the forklift, it may have been taken from a construction site across the street. The thieves used a white pickup that was later recovered in a field near by.
