Fugitive Found Hiding In White House Attic

WHITE HOUSE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – After two months on the run, Dreon Key, wanted for aggravated robbery and stealing a patrol car,  has been captured. Mr. Key was found hiding in an attic in Robertson County early Thursday morning.

Key escaped by allegedly stealing a Sumner County deputy’s patrol car back in April as he was being transferred to the Bedford County jail following a court appearance, officials said.

A Sumner County Sheriff’s Detective had been following up on leads in the White House area when he located a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Spring Hill. Key had been seen in a similar vehicle days earlier.

The Detective narrowed his search and eventually determined that Key was inside a nearby home located on Chesire Ct on the Robertson County side of White House. MAP.

According to officials with the Sumner Couty Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Response Team members arrived and learned that Key was hiding in the attic.

Law enforcement set up at the home around 4 am. After Key refused to come down, ERT introduced gas and Key surrendered to authorities at 5:18 am.
