Garbage Truck Ignites Near Greenbrier, Driver OK
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A garbage truck ignited in Greenbrier Thursday morning causing heavy damage to the vehicle.
The incident occurred on Moore Rd, Greenbrier around 10:30 am. MAP
Officials at the scene say the truck belongs to Kleen Way Disposal and the driver was able to exit the vehicle without injury.
Officials tell Smokey Barn News that firefighters may be on scene for a while. Apparently the design of the vehicle is making it difficult to reach the trash compartment area so firefighters are drilling holes to gain access. For a short video go to Smokey’s Twitter or Instagram.
No word on a cause of the fire and no other property was damaged.
The White House Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call and extinguished the fire.
Robertson Couty EMS, as well as the Greenbrier Fire Department, were called to the scene.
