Large Biden Political Sign Torched Near Springfield Tennessee
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A large political sign was torched Monday afternoon triggering a response from local firefighters.
The home is located just outside Springfield city limits.
North Robertson Fire & Rescue was called to the scene just after 7:30 pm to put out the fire that had spread to the home’s lawn.
A witness, who called 911, told Smokey Barn News that they passed the sign earlier and it was intact but when they passed again 20 minutes later the sign was ablaze.
According to Fire Chief Chad Gregory with North Robertson Fire & Rescue, the sign was a Joe Biden political sign, and lighting it on fire is considered arson. Under different circumstances, the fire could have made it’s way to the home and caused heavy damage.
No one was home at the time of the fire and attempts to reach the homeowner were not successful.
