Lawn-Mower Ignites Shop/Apartment Near Springfield

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A shop building with an attached unoccupied apartment was lost to fire after officials say a lawnmower ignited the structure.

The structure is located in the 4000 block of Kinneys Rd near Hillwood EST Road which sits just outside Springfield city limits. MAP

Fire officials with North Robertson Fire & Rescue are calling the structure a total loss after the fire that started just after 4 pm.

No injuries were reported. North Robertson Fire & Rescue, the Adams Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Springfield Police, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene.
