Planned Outage For Adams Substation Tuesday March 17
Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC) is scheduled to have a planned power outage for their entire Adams substation on Tuesday March 17, 2015 between the hours of 1:00PM – 5:00PM.
This planned outage is necessary to continue the construction of the new Adams substation. This planned power outage is required to de-energize the existing Adams substation so that crews can convert all electric distribution circuits to the new operating voltage of the new Adams substation and to install a new transmission structure that feeds the new Adams substation.
Several factors were considered during the planning of this outage to include weather conditions, Robertson County school schedule, and daylight operations for the CEMC and contractor crews that will be working during the outage.
CEMC began construction on the new substation in Adams, TN in August 2014. This new substation will improve service and reliability for our members that have been served by the existing substation for the past 60+ years. CEMC is dedicated to continue to provide safe, reliable, and affordable electricity for its members.
For your convenience, CEMC has one telephone number to serve all your needs including power outages and service requests, (800) 987-CEMC (2362).
