Scam Alert From The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office would like to warn citizens of a current scam that is circulating through the community.
In this scam, the suspects are posing as The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and are calling individuals and advising them that they have warrants.
The person on the phone will advise the individual that they need to go to the Sheriff’s Office with cash and deposit the money in a Kiosk. They will ask the individual to stay on the line while driving to the Sheriff’s Office.
Once the individual arrives at the Sheriff’s Office, the person on the phone will advise the individual to hold on a minute, and then state the money cannot be processed through the kiosk. They will then tell the individual to go to the Dollar General and buy a card with a specific amount of money.
Please be advised, The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office will NEVER ask anyone for money over the phone. If you receive a call like this, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 615-384-7971.
