Teen Accidentally Shot In The Abdomen In Cross Plains
CROSS PLAINS: (Smokey Barn News) – A Springfield teen is recovering in the hospital after being accidentally shot in the abdomen Sunday night, according to officials in Robertson County.
The shooting occurred in Cross Plains at a home on East Robertson Rd near Mill Rd around 9:44 pm. MAP
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is calling the shooting accidental.
“The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting on East Robertson Road in Cross Plains, TN. The investigation does indicate the shooting was accidental. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital,” Jessica Drake PIO Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.
The 18-year-old shooting victim from Springfield was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where she is listed in stable condition, according to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, while conducting their investigation into the shooting, illegal drugs were found in the home. 19-year-old Ida Heavenly Sullivan of Cross Plains, TN was charged with possession of Schedule VI, Possession of Schedule IV, and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing.”
Sullivan was transported to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield under a $12,500 bond. As of 7:pm Monday evening, Sullivan was still behind bars.
