Update: Coopertown City Hall Re-Opens

COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The city of Coopertown has now RE-OPENED city-hall following a temporary shutdown due to exposure to COVID-19.

Coopertown Mayor Glen Guyer told Smokey Barn News last Wednesday that he made the decision to close City Hall and have all employees tested after a worker inside City Hall tested positive for COVID-19. Now the test results are back.

“All the other staff received their results and are negative for COVID-19. Therefore the Town of Coopertown City Hall will re-open (today) Tuesday, September 15, 2020.”

According to Guyer last week, a city worker was not feeling well. The employee thought it was just allergies but a test returned a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. According to Guyer, the employee has recovered and, after the appropriate quarantine period, has returned to work.
