(VIDEO) Six People And Six Pets Escape Springfield House Fire Wednesday Night
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Springfield home is unlivable following a fire that started in the garage Wednesday night but six people and their six pets escaped unharmed, officials said.
UPDATE: According to officials In Springfield, the ignition source for the fire was an extension cord in the garage.
The home is located on Timberlake Dr, the first call coming into 911 at 10:08 pm. MAP
Officials at the scene told Smokey Barn News that the fire likely started in the garage and from there moved into an adjacent kitchen. It was a great stop by Springfield Firefighters but the fire damage coupled with smoke and water damage has made the home temporarily unlivable.
With the assistance of the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, the family was put in contact with the American Red Cross.

The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, Robertson County EMA, and the Springfield Police Department all responded to the scene.
