Alisha was home when a Robertson County Sheriff’s Deputy and a local minister arrived to deliver the news about Donnie’s death and Alisha has been beside herself with grief ever since.  “We were very close, he was very caring, he would help anybody and everybody, Alisha told Smokey in tears.”

Alisha doesn’t know much about that night, other than her brother was stabbed and left to die.

“He was a good dude, he didn’t deserve to go out like this, not at all. He would do anything in the world to help somebody, he would give the shirt off his back for people. I hope that they get everyone involved, said Donnie’s brother-in-law “Lee auge.”

Donnie was a father of three children, two girls and a boy, ages 6, 9 and 11.

Donnie was originally from Clarksville and attended Montgomery Central High School. For income Donnie and the family had been cutting and selling wood. “Donnie liked messing with everything, he loved working on vehicles and installing stereo systems, he loved cars, Alisha said.

The family learned about the arrest in the case at 2:00am Sunday morning. The family said it was like a burden had been lifted. “At least now we can have some kind of closure, Lee auge said.”

The family is in the process of making funeral arrangements and will let us know when they have been finalized.

The investigation is still ongoing, anyone who has any additional information related to this incident are urged to call Detective Chris Nolder at 931-648-0656 Ext 5341 or the CrimeStoppers TIPS Hotline at 931-645-TIPS(8477).
