I65 South At Long Hollow Pike Slow After Tractor Trailer Overturns
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A crash involving an overturned tractor trailer is affecting traffic in both directions on I65 just outside of Millersville. PHOTO:Sarah Bradley
The wreck occurred near the Long Hollow Pike exit (Exit 97). (Exact location of wreck) The crash was reported at 12:16 PM and is estimated to be cleared by 2:30 PM..
UPDATE: We are told that officials are on the 3rd tow truck trying to clear the tractor trailer from the median. The vehicle’s position and the weather are hampering efforts. The revised estimate is now 7:00pm before the wreck is cleared.
One lane of Southbound traffic is currently blocked. Northbound traffic is affected with rubbernecking delays.
UPDATE: As the tractor trailer collided with center divider cables, several boulders (drainage rocks) were launched into traffic. According to a source, one of the boulders went through the windshield of a passenger vehicle injuring one person. That individual was transported to an area hospital. Word on their condition was not available.
