25-Year-Old Woman Shot In Rolling Shootout Between 2 Vehicles in Goodlettsville

GOODLETTSVILLE, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – This will be an update to a report of two shootings in the Goodlettsville area we brought you on Saturday night on social media. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is now releasing more information about the two incidents that they believe are connected.

According to MNPD, the shootings took place Saturday night around 8 p.m. and appear to have started near the entrance to Cedar Hill Park off of W Old Hickory Blvd and continued to Dickerson Pike, ending in Goodlettsville near 311 N Main St.

An innocent 25-year-old female motorist was struck by the gunfire in the jaw on W Old Hickory Blvd and was transported to Skyline Medical Center. Sources tell Smokey Barn News that the young lady was able to drive herself to the hospital or she was taken by private vehicle. Numerous bystander vehicles were struck by bullets along the path.

One of the involved vehicles, a dark-colored sedan, was discovered by the Goodlettsville Police Department, and the occupants were detained. The 18-year-old driver of the dark-colored sedan was also struck by the gunfire in the wrist and was transported to Skyline Medical Center.

According to our news partner WSMV News 4 in Nashville, police at the scene told them that juvenile drivers shot at each other while driving on Dickerson Pike. One of the occupants of the two cars shooting at each other was hit in the hand. The woman was unfortunately caught in the crossfire.

MNPD indicates that the circumstances surrounding both shootings are still under investigation. An update on either shooting victim was not available.
