ALL THREE INMATES ARE IN CUSTODY 

UPDATE: Campbell and Rutherford are back in custody.

Update: Bush is in custody. We are continuing to search for Campbell and Rutherford.

How did they get out? WKRN is reporting that the three escaped from a window at the jail.  As the search for 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers enters its 6th critical day, having these three men back in custody should be a tremendous load of resources that can be diverted back to Sebastian’s search.

ESCAPED INMATES:

William Rutherford, Kenneth Campbell, and Elvis Bush have escaped from the Sumner County Jail.

Update: One down, two to go. According to the Sumner County Sheriff, Bush is in custody. Campbell and Rutherford are still at large.

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Sumner County Sheriff’s office has confirmed that three men have escaped from the Sumner County Jail.

Officials in Sumner County have confirmed that 40-year-old William Rutherford, 29-year-old Kenneth Campbell, and 43-year-old Elvis Bush have escaped from the Sumner Couty jail. Their clothing descriptions are unknown at this time. Additionally, their mechanism of escape has not been released.

Rutherford was arrested on July 5, 2023, on charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, felon in possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence. Campbell, 29, and Bush, 43, were in jail after being arrested for mostly drug charges. Campbell also had a theft and felon in possession of a weapon charge.
