TRAFFIC ALERT: We have a report of a vehicle versus tree crash in the 6100 block of Buzzard Creek Road. The call was reported at approximately 12:39 a.m.
At this time, it is unclear whether the vehicle struck a tree already in the roadway or if a tree fell and struck the vehicle. Emergency crews are responding. This is an injury crash.
Motorists traveling in the area should watch for first responders, emergency vehicles, and possible roadway hazards and drive with caution.
Remember; saturated ground conditions could continue to bring down trees even after the storms had passed. In some cases, weakened trees can fall hours after the rain and wind have ended.
UPDATE:
Officials say that upon arrival, crews found the tree was extremely difficult to see and completely blocking the roadway. Buzzard Creek Road is now closed in the area while crews work to clear the scene.
If you’re traveling tonight, remain alert for downed trees and other storm-related hazards, particularly on rural roadways. Powered by Springfield Auto “Integrity you can drive on!”

ALL CLEAR:
Looking at numinous weather sources, it appears the worst of today’s weather has moved out of the area, and Robertson County appears to have escaped any widespread significant damage, though we may still have a moderate chance of showers overnight.
While scattered issues were reported, including flooding, downed trees, vehicle accidents, and isolated power outages, there have been no reports of major injuries or large-scale impacts at this time.
Residents should keep in mind that additional reports of downed trees may continue to come in over the next 24 hours. In rural areas, saturated ground can weaken root systems, causing trees to fall even after the rain and wind have ended. Isolated power outages may also occur if trees come down on utility lines.
Overall, the county appears to have weathered the storm well. As always, if conditions change or additional reports come in, we’ll keep you updated. Powered by Ace Hardware White House
