ROBERTSON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY UPDATE

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, multiple rounds of severe weather are expected to impact the county starting tonight and lasting until Saturday. The highest threat is anticipated from Wednesday night into Thursday, with the potential for damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes.

Key precautions to take:

  • Stay informed: Ensure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, such as a weather radio, mobile alerts, or local news, and make sure mobile devices are plugged in and fully charged.

  • Prepare an emergency kit: Include essentials such as water, non-perishable food, flashlights, and extra batteries.

  • Have a safe place: Know where to go if severe weather strikes — ideally, a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor.

  • Avoid flooded areas: Stay away from creeks, rivers, and flooded roads as heavy rainfall could lead to dangerous flooding.

  • Secure outdoor items: Bring in or secure any outdoor furniture or objects that could become projectiles in high winds.
